Dying. Please send cough drops.

by Marilyn on November 15, 2007

I had/have a great, lengthy post planned for today.  But right now, all I can focus on is the throbbing my left temple, the fact I can’t breathe through my nose anymore, the burning in my throat and the fact that it feels like a moose is sitting on my chest.  I HATE BEING SICK WHEN I’M PREGNANT.  I just want to crawl back in bed, but alas, it’s not to be.  Harry needs to be shuttled to school here in a short while and Liam needs a mother to, you know, take care of him.  Dangit.

If you never hear from me again, you’ll know why.

Thanks, Isabel. You don’t happen to have any spare cough drops on you, do you?

Oh yes, I feel your pain. I think I have some spare cough drops from when Paul was sick a few weeks ago (thank God Elizabeth didn’t catch it!) but by the time I get my lazy butt to the post office and then the mail man (or do you have a mail lady?) brings them to your house, it would probably be too late. I didn’t catch anything until right at the end. Try pushing out a baby when you can’t breathe!! Whenever they said “take a deep breath” I wanted to shout “I wish I could damnit!!” Some medicine free advice — drink hot tea with honey. Lots of honey. The steam from the tea will clear your nose and the honey will help your throat.
