Semi-Snow Day

 Snow

Yay for snow!  We had some snowfall last Friday, but it was just a dusting and nothing to get to excited about.  This morning, we woke up to about 3 inches which still isn’t much but definitely gives the out of doors a “winter wonderland” sort of effect.   And if that doesn’t help you get in the holiday spirit, then I don’t know what does.  The picture above is from the newspaper website and was taken somewhere in town, I’m guessing.  We have quite a bit more snow out here but I don’t feel quite adventurous enough to venture outside and snap any photos at the moment.  So sue me.

Schools were on a one hour delay this morning.  Which, you know, YAY for the kids.  Harry was happy to have an extra hour to go cavort in the snow outside and play some xbox.  But you’d think the buses would be able to figure out this one hour delay thing, wouldn’t you?  Yeah.  That’s why the bus was 20 minutes late picking them up this morning.  Picked them up right about the time school was actually starting.  Luckily, Kile took the morning off of work and walked Harry down to the bus stop just to make sure the bus actually did come.  Just in case, he was prepared to drive Harry down to the school.

I love it when it snows.  I’m one of the few who feels it could snow several feet and that would be perfectly fine with me.  I think snow is beautiful and exciting.  Liam has been intrigued with it this morning.  If I’m feeling particularly festive, maybe I’ll suit him up in his snow suit later on and take him out to play in it.  Maybe.  He’s lacking a glove to go with the suit, so maybe not.

I’m a great mom, aren’t I?
