She's just turned 10 and we always try hard to do a big bash for her - this year it was just our family of 5 but we had a special mommy-made cake, baloons, and a ton of gifts in princess and birthday paper. We don't give a ton of gifts at Christmas anyway so it works out well. My bday is the day after Christmas and I insist on a special breakfast (berries bananas and cream, croissants, and mimosa's) and a special dinner (filet mignon!). I don't care about the gifts now, but I did when I was a kid, and I remember many years feeling like my bday didn't count. Happy Belated to you! My daughters bday is the 17th.
