Rain turns to snow
Who’s up for some hot cocoa?!

See, I told you all that rain would turn to snow!  And boy howdy, has it.  I will admit, this is the first time I’ve seen snow this hard and fast since those fabled storms in 2005.  I don’t think this storm will rival those by any means, but it looks to give us a fair amount of the white stuff.  Oh, and the rain never did let up today.  I took a nap while Liam was napping this afternoon and I kid you not, I had a dream where it was raining.  Everything was getting washed and flooded out.  Then I woke up and saw that, yep, everything is getting washed and flooded out.

Kile got home just as the snow was starting and piling up, so that was very good timing (note his white van out at the curb there).  I feel like I took this picture a mere half hour ago and already there is twice as much snow out there.  The flakes are ginormous too, which is great fun.  Harry is way psyched, plenty of snow to play in tomorrow.  Maybe we’ll even bundle Liam up and let him have at it.  In the meantime, we’re having chili for dinner and are going to admire the pretty snow from the comfort and warmth of our cozy home.

Big Flakes
The flakes will eat us all!!!

Wow. Just, wow. As much as I hate cold weather and am happy to live in a place where snow exists only on television, I admit to a tiny bit of envy. A part of me would love to be inside a cozy little house somewhere with a fire roaring in the fireplace, as the outside world turns into a winter wonderland. It sounds like a great way to spend a weekend.
