First of all, I wanna tell you that a startling majority of you SUCK. Everyone except for Carrisa, that is, who gave such a startling actual off-the-top-of-her-head guess that she deserves some sort of special award. Now, she didn’t comment there about the post or anything, but at least she tried. Which is a lot more than I can say about the rest of you slackers. Do you think that just because I’m “slackermama” that I won’t care if you slack off in your duties as faithful readers? Well, think again. And if this is payback for me pretty much ignoring “Delurking Day” well you can just suck it then. Ya’ll are mean. I won’t forget this act of betrayal against myself! You will PAY!!
Anyhow. Where were we?
Oh yes! Girl clothes! (insert internal squee here) This whole “Let’s go buy some girl clothes” thing is rather new to us here. I’m sure I have some plain white onesies and fairly neutral jammies sitting around here (at this point, if it isn’t emblazoned with a firetruck or football, it’s fair game) that the poor girl can wear, but she’s got to have some of her own pinkish clothes, don’t you think? So I wanted to share with you what we have. Cuz I’m a giver.

This one here is potentially her “going home” outfit,
provided she’s not a puny runt like her brother.
And there you have it! A total of four outfits, a pair of socks and three caps. Kile was horrified when we gathered it all up last and said in a horrified tone, “We’ll go through that in a day!” Right you are, good man. Though I’m sure that sometime in the next couple of months we’ll pick up other little things here and there. And I do have a dear, good friend who is sending us some clothes. So I’m sure poor Evelyn will not arrive on the planet with just four (albeit adorable) outfits to her name. Still, I think we’ve done very good thus far. That “going home” outfit is TO DIE FOR and was 70% off so, you know, BONUS. Plus, it’s called “Plum Cute”. I’d like to know who in their right mind could resist that. Of course, I’ve just realized that it lacks socks, shoes, booties or something similar to cover the poor things feet with. Oops.
I’m going to be SUCH a great mother of a girl, aren’t I?
(It must be noted that all but one item up there still retains it’s tags from the store. And the only reason the Children’s Place sleeper lacks those is because Liam tore them off in the store for us. I’m not sure, but I think I’ll probably have to take those tags off at some point and commit to the fact that this baby is wearing those clothes no mater what, even if she IS born with a penis.)

Yes, the pink puke will happen to you, just like mojavi says. I specifically said “No, I don’t like pink, and I’m not too much into the Disney princesses either”. And what did I get? Pink, pink, and more pink. Luckily though, only one Princess outfit. And what’s scary? Elizabeth looks fabulous in pink.

This post (& some other recent ones about buying girls clothes) remind me so much of me shopping (or not shopping!) for my last baby. First two were modest at their scans & wouldn’t reveal anything, we got a boy & a girl, I had only bought gender neutral clothes.
Third baby was obviously & clearly a girl said scan person. I so was happy to know that I could shop for adorable baby girl clothes, but could I actually bring myself to buy any of them when I was actually in a shop? No way, my brain kept reminding me that mistakes get made & I would probably have another boy.
So, third baby entered the world to a wardrobe of white and/or mint green clothes.
