Okay, so maybe it wasn’t such a good idea to get up with Kile this morning. But I am nothing if not a creature of habit and I get up with him every morning (if I don’t, who will pour my cereal or toast my bagels for me??). But this morning, he got going a bit earlier than normal. And when we would normally be stumbling downstairs close to 7:30 (usually just minutes before Harry’s alarm clock goes off), we were headed down at the ungodly hour of 6am. (Those of you who do get up at the buttcrack of dawn every day; I don’t want to hear it.) I guess I’ve grown accustomed to staying up until around 11:30 or so and then waking up a little later. Because while getting up wasn’t so hard, it’s STAYING UP that is proving a challenge.
My eyelids are heavy (oh so heavy). The songs issuing forth from “Miss Spider’s Sunny Patch Friends” is slowly but surely lulling me into a stupor. (Speaking of which, why is Mr. Spider so much smaller than Mrs. Spider??) Liam can’t seem to decide if he wants to be on my lap or off it (right now? On it). I suspect that all he really wants is my laptop because when he starts to crawl up and I put the laptop aside, he loses interest and goes off to find something else to get into.
I fixed myself a cup of coffee a few minutes ago and I can only hope it starts kicking in here real soon. Because while we all enjoy a nice, sleepy Friday, this is not one of them. I’ve got stuff to do later on and I’m thinking naptime (for Liam AND me) will be coming a little later than it normally would (did I mention that Liam also woke up early this morning?). So, this could get… interesting.

This is me. I'm a thirtysomething stay at home mom to three kids. For years I was a stay at home mom to one kid and trying very hard to have more. It took a LONG time (ie: 6 1/2 years), but finally Liam arrived and charmed us with his blue eyes and ginormous, round head. Then we got a shock: I was pregnant again and this time it was a GIRL. Our hearts and home are full at last and now that we're done having babies, we get to relax (snort) and watch them grow (not too fast now, you hear?).
