Unable to stick to a subject

It’s time I got a new post up there, huh?  I’ve been surprised at how much the death of Heath Ledger has bothered me.  The last time I felt this upset when a celebrity died was Steve Irwin and that was just as random.  I mean, I knew the moment I first watched that guy’s show that he was going to die.  It was just a matter of time.  Shoot, isn’t that why we ALL watched “The Crocodile Hunter”?  And I guess when he did die it was less surprise that he died and more surprise that it was at the hands of a stingray instead of a crocodile, snake or poisonous spider like we all expected it would be.  I guess what upset me most about Steve Irwin was the family he left behind.

But with Heath, I think I’ve actually thought less about his family and more about “WOE IS ME” for I will no longer get to enjoy his presence in motion pictures.  Pretty selfish, huh?  Still, it upsets me.  But I’m moving on.  I promise.

I think we’ve officially entered the Doldrums of Winter.  When I can look out the window in the morning and say in a bored tone, “It snowed again last night” then you know the bloom is officially off the rose.

Kile and I are presently playing through Halo 3’s campaign for the third time.   Yep.  THIRD time.  We’re doing it on “Legendary” which doesn’t mean anything to you if you’ve never played a Halo game before but believe me.  It’s tough.  I’ve been impressed with our progress though.  We are able to finish a level each night (playing for only an hour or so, as our schedule permits) which is better than I expected.  We’re only halfway through the game though, and I imagine things will be getting considerably dicier.

Yes, we’re enormous nerds.  Why do you ask?

I have to admit that I’m a little excited to finally have someone to share my “Little Mermaid” and “Beauty and the Beast” DVDs with.  My boys could absolutely care less.  I’m glad I’ve hung onto them all this time though!

I’m toying with changing my design.  Again.  See, I had promised myself that when I needed a new look that I would keep the layout and just change the images.

Yeah, no.

I blame Kerflop and misszoot.

Little Evie is already a study in contrasts.  How is it that she can sit in there and pummel my innards like a punching bag and yet when she gets the hiccups they are very slight, very dainty hiccups?  This makes no sense to me.

I had best get back to my busy schedule of eating cream cheese bagels and watching Noggin.  “Miss Spider’s Sunny Patch Friends” aren’t going to watch themselves, you know.
