So you’ve probably seen the previous post with it’s picture. That was taken this morning at the ungodly hour of 8:00am as we “hit the road”, intending to travel east to Winnemucca to retrieve my eldest son from the in-laws. Of course, it had started snowing yesterday afternoon and pretty much didn’t stop all night long. So there was tons of snow this morning and it was blowing around and… ugh. The LAST thing we wanted to do was leave the house in such gnarly-ness. However, the good news was that the sun was shining and it didn’t seem to be snowing any more. Also, east of us was clear which is good because that’s where we were headed. So we decided to go for it because if we had begged out due to the nasty conditions, we would forever be pegged as wusses by his family. And we didn’t want that.
Luckily, the worst of the weather was INDEED in our neighborhood. Doesn’t that just figure? The picture I took this morning from my lovely cell phone was taken just down the street from our house as we drove to McDonald’s to grab some Egg McMuffins for breakfast and the road was packed with snow and ice, the wind was blowing around the snow and making visibility poor… gah. Just about the worst conditions possible. As soon as we left “our neck of the woods”, however, it was all good. And now we’re back home with Harry who is SO happy to be home. His pup is now permanently glued to his body, I think.
Speaking of my earlier post, what do you guys think of “Wordless Sunday”? Like it? Hate it? I think I need a new name for it. “Silent Sunday”, maybe? What do you think? I don’t know if I’ll be doing this feature EVERY Sunday, but it’s sure handy for those Sunday mornings when things are busy and I want to get something up (ANYTHING!). So let me know what you think.
Also: I am fully aware of the Oscars being on in like… an HOUR. I’m watching the Live from the Red Carpet show on E! right now. I’m not going to liveblog or anything but I may be Twittering as things occur to me, so stay tuned to that if you’re interested. You know you totally are.

This is me. I'm a thirtysomething stay at home mom to three kids. For years I was a stay at home mom to one kid and trying very hard to have more. It took a LONG time (ie: 6 1/2 years), but finally Liam arrived and charmed us with his blue eyes and ginormous, round head. Then we got a shock: I was pregnant again and this time it was a GIRL. Our hearts and home are full at last and now that we're done having babies, we get to relax (snort) and watch them grow (not too fast now, you hear?). Thanks for coming by, feel free to dip into my archives, read my About and History pages (just don't do Jackson's Story without tissues!) and make yourself at home.
