It’s only half over already, but I have some moments to run by ya all. Good weekend? Bad weekend? I prefer to say good. Because it is, as they say, a weekend. And any weekend is good just because it’s a weekend, right? Yeah, I have no idea what I’m talking about either. Maybe I should quit while I’m ahead.
- We all played Wii on Friday night, while waiting for Domino’s to deliver our pizza. How fun was it that now we have three controllers (one for each of us that are of playing age) that we could all play Wii Tennis together. Harry and I were able to just barely beat Kile’s booty. That should tell you just how bad I really am at Wii Tennis, really. I need desperate practice.
- Saturday I had great plans (I, as in me, as in not shared by anyone else in this house) for getting Harry’s room cleaned out and the crib set up for Liam in there. It became apparent around 11am that my plans were going horribly awry. Kile was getting ready to go to work and nothing had happened. Thanks to a little desperation on my part, we were able to at least move Harry’s bed (which is a friggin’ TANK, by the way). Harry and I worked at clearing out as much of the garbage as we could (in my case? Not much). I moved Harry’s computer desk over under the window and cleared the spot where Liam’s crib will go. Then I carried up all the pieces for the crib. None of them were very heavy, but the process of going up and down the stairs just about took me out. I was breathing like a… well, I don’t know what it was like. But it was bad. What a wuss. So all that really needs to be done is get the crib set up and clean the rest of the room. Of course, we don’t have a second crib mattress yet which doesn’t concern Kile. He has a point, Evie won’t be sleeping in that crib for a little while, at least. But how am I supposed to set up her beautiful cribset without a mattress??
- All of this means: Hopefully we should have Liam in Harry’s room TONIGHT. Pray for us.
- Oh yeah, Kile had to work yesterday. GAH, right? Just from 1-4, but still. Working on a Saturday should be illegal.
- When he got home, we went out to dinner at Chili’s and to finish up our shopping at Walmart. The problem is, I started out the evening already sore from the cleaning and crib piece carrying. So it wasn’t long into our trek through Walmart that I started to crap out. It starts with my hips and feeling like they’re going to split in two. Mere shadow, folks. I just barely made it out of there with my life.
- We have grand plans for going to church this morning. We have to leave in about an HOUR and I have neither a) had breakfast or b) taken a shower. Good freakin’ luck!
