Ah, Sunday. I actually love the pace of our average Sunday around here. We’re up around 8am (so late!), we have a leisurely breakfast (usually cereal or something), get ourselves ready and head out, hopefully on time. Church starts at 10:30 and today we were on time for a change! It was nice not to have a mad scramble to get in there. After church, we had out for lunch and some errand running.
Today was a big day for Harry at church (hence the previous picture/post). So afterward, we let him pick where we went to lunch and he chose Mimi’s. A boy after my own heart, that one is. Of course, everyone else and their dog (literally! We saw a dog there!) had the same idea and so we had a good wait before we were seated. I was so starved by then, I could have eaten a whole side of cow myself. Instead, I ordered my standard Three Berry Stuffed French Toast. I get that EVERY time. Not one for variety, I guess. But why mess with perfection? That stuff is GOOD. And it comes with fresh squeezed orange juice which tastes pretty much just like heaven so it’s pretty much a no-brainer. Liam even enjoys it there as they give him a little plate of goodies to munch on and he loves to eat the blueberries off of my french toast.
After we finished up there and waddled out to the van (of course that may have been just me), we stopped by Home Depot. We didn’t get quite the coverage on the light taupe that Kile painted in Evie’s room that we were hoping for and we needed another quart. C’est la vie. Still, it’s looking mighty fine in that nursery. I’ll have to take a picture once we get everything put back together.
We stopped by Walmart, even though Kile wanted to head home and get back to work on the painting. I picked up some hair color and highlights so I could give my hair a good once over before the baby comes. A couple other groceries in our basket and we were good to go. We’re back home now, earlier than we would probably be otherwise. Kile hasn’t gotten back to work quite yet, he’s kicking up his feet and drinking some tea first. Liam is resisting a nap as best he can. Hopefully, he’ll drop off here soon or a nap will be a moot point.
I’m trying to finish up the loose ends here. I’ve got Harry’s clothes all clean, same with Liam’s. Now I’ve got to work on our clothes. And then the sheets. Ours and the ones in the guest room/nursery. I’m going to be a busy girl this week. And that’s not even the half of what needs to be done. BUT, thankfully, I’m only one of two people here and I’ve got someone to help with the other half. Heh.
So, everyone, how was your Sunday? Do you bask in laziness or do you use it to get lots of stuff done?
