In fact, my system got moving again after the procedure faster than they were expecting. I totally plan on ignoring the "starve yourself for hours and hours ahead of time" rule for this planned c-section. If I puke I puke, and aspirating gastric juice on its own is potentially more harmful than apirating partially-digested food. I'm not going to have a turkey dinner or anything, but I will have some easily-digested and not-gross-if-it-returns-to-haunt-me snacks. Consider it a little secret between you, me, and the internet.
