So I’m sure you are all aware that I’ve had “issues” with my blog this last week or so. Mostly in Internet Explorer (which I hope will eat shit and die one of these days very soon). My blog would cause the entire browser to seize up and die. Frustrating doesn’t even really begin to describe it. But I’ve been at a loss as to how to fix it. I gave the blog a new design (you like? Oooh! Ahhh!), hoping that would help. It did not.
My frustration grew to the point where I bitched about it on Twitter. And then I got a direct message from witchypoo, who I now consider to be something of a goddess. She swears she didn’t do much but don’t listen to her. She talked me through it. And down off my ledge. Good thing too, cuz that ledge was pretty scary.
So now? As far as I can tell, my blog is behaving. It is no longer (as far as I know) making IE crash. If it’s giving you fits still, PLEASE let me know because I hate to think of my site fuxing everyone’s browsers up.
So yeah. You like the new look? I’m hoping this one loads a touch faster. So far, it seems to. At least for me it does. But it’s pretty. I think it’s pretty. It has some features that I really dig (and a lot of the old features that I love as well).
In other news: Evie continues to be a total “hold-me” baby and thinks her car seat is the greatest torture device ever devised by man. I cannot WAIT until our first car trip. Should be a blast and a half. Also: Liam was sick last night. Twice. But seems better now so whatever. All I can say is THANK GOD Kile was here. I might have lost my crackers had I needed to deal with that and hold-me baby alone.

I am using evil IE and after the ‘ (apostrophe) there is a space every time.

I like your new design, and it does load very quickly. I’m using Firefox on a Mac, and the only strange thing I see is that the word “kids” in your header appears to be missing. I realize it’s a link, but I guess I’m seeing the visited color, since I’ve gone to amazon.com recently. Anyway, just thought I’d let ya know.

Ah, Evie sounds like my Arun. I swear, all I did was hold him for the first 6 months. We were SO amazed at Anjali just sitting in her carseat - it was such a novelty to us.
Fortunately, Arun did not mind the carseat if it was actually IN the car while the car was MOVING.
cagey’s last blog post..The University of Kansas Jayhawks just won the 2008 NCAA Tournament and frankly, I am speechless.

Yay! No more freezing and crashing! And I think this does load faster too. Bonus!
I work for the Canadian federal gov’t and I can guarantee they’ll be using IE for years yet.
I picked up a Moby wrap on the weekend (the sage and black Moby D, if you care). I already have a Hotsling but the wrap looked a bit more secure and cozy for a newborn and I figure that since this round I’ll already have an attention-hogging 2 year old, I’ll need my hands free a lot more.

The new design is the loveliest!
The fact that it’s pink has NOTHING to do with my love for it, either.
Rhi’s last blog post..Pssst!
