It’s that time again! Another week has come to a close and I have another roundup of posts that you need to go check out if you haven’t seen them already. As always, if you think I’m missing out on some awesome site, leave me a comment and let me know about it. I want to make sure I’m in on all the good stuff, you see.
- What to Wear at BlogHer 2008: A Sleeping Baby from Motherhood Uncensored. Oh good. I’ll finally be in fashion for once. I expect to have Evie with me for much of the conference. We’ll see how she’s doing by July, if she’s too rambunctious she’ll be in child care. Heh.
- Wow from Dad Gone Mad. You know that feeling you get when you see someone get their dream and it’s a dream you also have and seeing them get theirs make it somehow more possible? Yeah. That. Congrats, Danny! You so totally deserve it.
- My Love of the Outcasts from The Anvil Tree. Aww. I’m glad there’s someone who takes in the “hard cases”. I’m somewhat impatient with animals that need more time these days (mostly because I HAVE NO TIME), and I feel a little guilty now and then. Good for her. That dog is CUTE.
- Another Post About the Today Show from Pocklock.com. Heh. I love her take on it. I totally agree with her assessment of KLG and I have always felt the exact same way about the Today Show. Bring Katie back! Sorry, but I’m just not a Meredith fan.
- Shower ideas for subsequent children from ME! at Blissfully Domestic. Yep, you read that right. I’m going to be doing some contributing over at Blissfully Domestic and that there is my first post. Go check it out, will ya? (As a side note: showers for subsequent children is a big issue for me… I am all for them!)
- Did You See The “Mommy Bloggers” On The Today Show? from A Mommy Story. Dang, once again she says exactly what I would say if I had half the eloquence that she has. And she’s right, it’s all about the community. What could be bad about that?
- birthday take two from glow in the woods. Kate has a way of getting to the heart of an issue in a way that I never seem to be able to. Here, she hits on exactly why I feel impatient sometimes with people who focus so much on their birth experience instead of the end product.
- OPEN LETTER from Mighty Girl. Ha! But seriously, there are people who actually put their dogs in strollers? I’m sorry, but that’s just two steps shy of retarded in my book. Who ARE these people?
- Heels to Wheels: Part Deux from Confessions of a Pioneer Woman. OMG, is she serious? If so, pop the popcorn and dim the lights, I’m ready to tune in!
- Movies: Iron Man from defective yeti. YES. I thought this was a fabulous review of the movie. It was such fun and the best part was watching Robert Downey Jr. It’s been far too long since he’s had a good starring role.
That’s it this week, folks. What do you all have on your agendas this weekend? Besides Mother’s Day, of course. We’re hoping to make it to the drive-in again to see “Speed Racer” tonight. Harry is already foaming at the mouth at the thought of it. Let’s hope the wee ones cooperate like they did last week. Should be a good time though, I’ll let you all know how it goes! And Happy Mother’s Day to all you fabulous mommies out there!
