Out of Ideas (and money)

Posted on Monday, July 14th, 2008, 1:15 PM

The only thing I can think of today is how I don’t have enough money for anything I want right now. (whine whine whine)  No one really wants to hear about that.  Seriously.  No one.

Anything else I would have to talk about is BlogHer, but it would (again) cycle back to “No moneeeey!! WAHH!”

BAH and POOP on that.

(Just in case SOMEONE is interested, let me elaborate somewhat.)

  • My meals are pretty much taken care of, but what about Kile?  He joked yesterday about crashing the conference, walking in on lunch, attending sessions, etc.  Seriously though, what will he eat?  We’re thinking on packing some simple foods to pack with us.  We’ll have to have a cooler anyhow to transport milk for Liam to drink so it probably wouldn’t take much more to bring him some simple food.  BUT STILL.  I fret.  And worry.
  • This leads to wondering if the childcare provided at BlogHer includes food for the kiddos.  Would be great if it did, and on the other hand, am nervous for the poor souls who try to feed Liam.  SO PICKY.
  • I’m still fretting about the whole jeans/shoes issue.  I know sneakers are an obvious choice.  My sneakers are about four years old, though, and look it.  Besides sneakers, I own flip flops.  With the length on my jeans (particularly the ones I plan to wear Saturday), I really can’t get away with wearing flip flops with them.  Well, I do have my “Ugg-style” boots, but NO.  Will not take those to BlogHer.  I’m pretty much a “fashion don’t” but I have to draw the line somewhere.  I have been perusing payless.com and fondling the shoes through the screen, but that’s not helping anything.  FRUSTRATION.
  • Let’s talk about gas prices.  No, wait.  On second thought, we better not.  I’d just get pissed off.

Yeah.  That’s what I thought.  No one wants to hear about that.

In lieu of that conversation, I have pretty much nothing else to say.  I’ve been obsessively following Twitter all morning long, reading lots of BlogHer themed posts and feeling, ever so slightly, as if my head is about to spin off my shoulders and go flying across the floor.  Anticipation does that to me.

Obviously, I have to pimp Foodiebytes.com for Kyle’s food needs. He can search for what he is hungry for and then even search by price for the cheap eats.

I am stressing about clothes, too. I want to wear my little black dress, but it is not exactly 65 degree weather friendly.

Out of curiosity: What size shoe do you wear?

Secondly: Why did I see a girl with Ugg boots on at McDonalds the other day whilst it was 97 degrees and muggy outside? Also, you should know she was wearing shorts.

Dude, put a tupperware container in your purse/bag and then go throught the food line a second time and fill it. Run it up to him in the room and voila! He has food.

You didn’t hear this from me.

Flip flops and jeans…I wear them all the time (or my crocs). Also…if your pants are a little long, use a fusable web (iron on) to give a temporary hem to shorten them.

I second the shoe size question. I have skis for feet, but you never know. You might too. If so, I have an unworn collection of truly cute and uncomfortable shoes. ;-) Just what BlogHer ordered. I also have new tennis shoes that I’ve never worn. Exercise scares me. So, do tell, how big are the feet? And what size clothes. I’m forever whittling down my wardrobe and would be happy to bring you an outfit or two. Us NV/CA girls have to stick together.

Am size 10 (gunboats!). See, another thing about me that is best disclosed before you meet me in person and am scared by the hot mess that I am. :)
