So I haven’t posted yet today. It’s been a rather hectic day, if you don’t mind me saying. I’m not going to go on and on about it, because I’m posting this from my iPhone. The Internet is sorta dead here right now. Because DirecTV hates Charter cable. I hate Charter too but I don’t think that’s any reason to kill my Internet.
Of course, Kile is the bomb and tells me he’s figured a way to make the Internet behave with DirecTV. I better go check that out. BRB…

Okay, my husband is a freakin’ genius. He fixed mah internetz.
And not just that, but he surprised me with My Precious this afternoon. I wasn’t expecting him to run home on his lunch break and bestow me with my new Macbook.

I’m just not feeling it today. In fact, I’m feeling sad, angry, stressed and futile. Mostly this is real life stuff that I’m just not going to go into here on this blog. Besides, it seems whenever I post something anymore everyone takes it totally the wrong the way, assumes something I didn’t mean for them assume or some other way rags on it. And right now, I just can’t take another beating.
Life is not fair.
People are not nice.
Compassion is gone.
Understanding is an antiquated notion.
I’m tired. I’m stressed. I think a lot of people are tired and stressed. And I’m feeling the affects of them taking out their stress on me and mine.
Life just plain sucks right now. I get that. But can we just be a little reasonable to one another? Is that really so much to ask? Does nobody care what they do to another person or how they make another person feel anymore?
Actually, I was wrong in the first sentence of this post. I’m definitely feeling it. I’m feeling it a little too much. I wish I didn’t feel so much.
It’s that time again. Time to hunt down a new car seat. It feels like we just did this last month or something but my blog archives tell me it was more like two years ago. Huh. How about that.
So even though Evie’s carseat is okay to 30 pounds, she is getting awful close to a year old and carting around one year olds in those bucket car seats goes against my own personal philosophy. And tax return time is coming up and that’s as good a time as any to be getting carseats. Especially when your tastes are as extravagant as ours. Seriously, once you go Britax, there’s no going back. All other carseats are shit, comparatively. And I’m not one of those safety guru/nazi sorts either. They’re just really good carseats.
The difference this time is we have two options to choose from. We could get another Boulevard for Evie (and could potentially get one in adorable and obnoxious girly colors
Liam is rooting for the Frontier. It has cupholders!
Of course, this will all depend on whether or not I can find a Boulevard on sale and whether or not any place has Frontier’s in stock when it comes time to buy. We’re leaning towards the Frontier since we know it would last for Liam (and potentially Evie but considering Liam’s stature probably not) until the end of TIME. Or, you know, at least until he’s in high school.

It’s BAD. BAD I TELL YOU. We are all out of caffeine in this house and I’m very, very sad about it. I’m seriously considering taking a nap if I can get Evie down for one before Liam wakes up. Fingers are (tightly) crossed.
How was your weekend? I didn’t post yesterday. My bad. I’d like to say that I’ve been busy busy busy but… yeah no. We went to a birthday party yesterday and that took up a little time. And… that was about it.
I started yet another pair of longies yesterday. Actually, these are going to more like capris. I’ll make them go to about mid-calf and end in a flirty little ruffle. I’m way excited to see how they turn out. That is, if I don’t fling the yarn out the window before I finish. The yarn is basic wool yarn you can get from any craft store and as such, it was machine dyed. And a dreadful thing called “pooling” is happening. I’ll show you pictures and try to explain at a later date. I’m trying to break it up as best I can but there’s only so much you can do with crappy yarn.
I have a lot of things I need to remember this week and I’m sure I will drop more than one ball. I should really start writing stuff down. But that feels like an admisison of oldness or something, doesn’t it?
Okay, Evie is begging for her nap now (I’ve got her right where I want her!) so I should go appease her wishes. I live to serve, you know.
