That sucks. I hate it when people are rude like that. In fact some girl in a petrol station yelled at me today and I mean really yelled, because I had to pay for my coke in change. I know that can be a pain, but I had it all counted up already. If only people could just be calm and polite.

This is why I don’t leave the house with all 3 of my kids. Never have and probably never will until they’re all older. I know I wouldn’t be able to handle it on my own. You did quite well, considering. I would say that you should have said something to the cashier, especially since in no way shape or form was any of that your fault, but in all honesty, I really doubt she would have cared.

{{{Hugs}}} I’m sorry that happened to you! I worked in fast food in high school and college and I can’t imagine treating a customer like that, especially over a malfunction of the restaurant’s equipment!

I agree that you should complain officially; to the store manager *and* to corporate!

Ugh, I had this happen once. I emaild mcD’s and they sent me some coupons for free meals…. big woop. I gave them to my sister and havent eaten there again. We live in a small town and this McDs is soo bad!

OMG. Seriously. OMG. Soda is the CHEAPEST thing for them too. It would not have hurt them at ALL. And it definitely doesn’t hurt them to be nice. I wouldn’t want to go there again either. Bless your heart Breaks me heart for Harry – such a sweet boy and he did nothing wrong. And seriously, babies get tired. Kids get tired. MOMS get tired. All it takes is patience and hopefully a little compassion. PLEASE let them know. Print out the letter and take it in to a manager, send it straight to corporate, call and ask for a manager or owner, SOMETHING. I know you couldn’t at the time, but they need to know.

Know what? Shawna is absolutely correct! What happened there was inexcusable.

About six months ago I was in the drive through of a McD’s. They didn’t say their machine wasn’t working and when I got to the window they finally told me. I didn’t have any cash either and this was the middle of workday lunch rush. The manager came to the window and graciously gave me my food for free, and apologized for my inconvenience.

That manager where you were ought to have done the very same thing, especially considering your children.

Shame! Shame on them.

Send your post and sign your name! You go girl. You deserved hella better than that and they could have at least given Harry the soda, Rhi is right. What’s a soda to an international conglomerate?

Forget anonymously! Write out a letter and send it to them. If that’s too much trouble, send them a copy of your entry. But put your name on it. They can’t apologize if they can’t find you.

I say you copy and paste this into the ‘Contact Us’ form on the McDonald’s website. Anytime I’ve complained to McDonald’s, they’ve been very apologetic (and generous with the coupons). And, I think they could have given Harry that soda for your trouble.
