These last two days have been.. interesting.  Yesterday we had insane fog.  You don’t automatically think of Nevada when you think of Fog, do you?  Actually, the fog was a problem for the last week or so.  On Sunday, when we had to drive to Winnemucca and back, I saw some of the thickest fog I’ve ever seen across the state.  Totally weird.  But I love the fog.  So it was all good.

Today it’s rain.  Well.  Sorta.  Right now it’s sunny outside which makes me scratch my head a little.  But it was super duper windy all night long (thank goodness for Pandora on my iPhone and headphones!).  I guess the upshot of that is there was no fog this morning.  Because fog and wind do NOT go hand in hand.  It was raining but now it’s sunny and perhaps it’ll rain later?  And why the heck is it RAINING in JANUARY?

The weather around here is totally made up.  I swear.   To anyone who doesn’t live in Nevada and thinks that because it’s the “desert” that it’s never anything but sunny and hot here, I say, “HA!”

In the midst of all of this is some seriously messed up kids.  Liam has ramped up his ornery factor and has delighted in tormenting poor Evie.  Of course, she plays into this by being hyper-sensitive.  Yeah, I wouldn’t like to get pushed down all the time either, but does she have to wail like someone has chopped off her limbs?  OY.  And then there’s The Hormone Formerly Known As Harrison.   He’s just a ray of sunshine, I tell ya.

Thank god we got that Keurig because dealing with all of this without the caffeine would have been TRAGIC.

But in between time outs for hitting Evie, telling Evie to get out from behind Kile’s recliner for the 25th time in the last two hours and changing an unholy parade of dirty diapers, there are the sweet moments; the cuddles and hugs and kisses and giggles that make it all worth while.   So I’m not setting them out with the recycling.  At least not yet.

We’ll see how next week goes.
