Hmm, I enjoyed #1 because of the unique look at vampires, but I pretty much despised the whole series by the end of 4. I wanted to love Edward, but I couldn’t get over the creepy and overly controlling nature of him, especially given their extreme age difference, and Bella’s whiny indecisiveness had me completely turned off by the end. She’s the only heroine I’ve ever read in a series who actually gets weaker throughout the books; I could never figure out what it was about her that would get all these boys to fall head over heels. I didn’t like the push for marriage at 18- I mean these are marketed to young adults and it would so not be what I’d want my daughter to read. Get married before doing anything else with your life! Sex makes life worth living! It’s okay to spend half a year in a black whole because your high school boyfriend dumped you and only his return made your life worth living! Woo hoo!

I loved, loved the other vampire characters and really thought the author had a creative story line, I just wish she could have done more with it besides falling in love with her Edward and then failing to develop anyone in the book. I’m excited for the movie- the characters are going to have to become more three-dimensional, and Bella will just have to be more likeable, and I’m looking forward to it.

My daughter loved to books and I thought they were pretty good too. Now she is anxiously awaiting the movie (guess I’m gonna have to pony up the money for her to see it when it comes out in the theater instead of waiting for it to hit the $1 theater.) And she got sooo mad when I read Breaking Dawn ahead of her and would sit there and cackle and groan while reading it. Ah, the joys of being the parent, and reading things before your children, just to torture them.

Well, I’m going to echo a few of your previous posters and remind you that if you don’t take care of yourself, then taking care of your kids is harder than it has to be. I understand about not feeling like you can take the kids with you to your appointment without backup - I only have one and there are some days where I just WILL NOT expose her to other people because she’s got cranky going in full-force. That being said, you NEED your medication. If Evie (or LIam or Harry) needed to go to the doctor, you would without a doubt, suck it up and drag the other kid(s) to the appointment even if Kile couldn’t go with you. So, do the same thing for yourself. They need a healthy mommy. Don’t make me come to Reno and give you the evil eye.

I loved the series also, there were times though I had to sit back and remember that they were in fact written for teens/young adults though. So some immaturity was to be expected. Kimbers last blog post..Back Home In Indiana

Oh girl, I have BTDT! My kidlets are 2 years 9 mos apart exactly, so yeah…getting mum to the doc was never easy nor a priority. At least my husbandatthetime had a retail job and that meant sporadic hours usually in the evening so the days were more free. But I can tell you there were definitely times when I was rushing around with two little ones and one of them to nurse and other crying and pooping all over himself and…*oy vey*!

But you can do it. Like the poster above, it won’t kill the kids to scream for a minute or two while you get your blood drawn. Gotsta take care of the mommy, ‘k? Do that for Momma Moon, canya? Put Evie in a sling and occupy Liam with a new toy, but if that fails, hey Benedryl is always mommy’s little helper **sarcasm there**

This, too, shall pass. Things will get easier (and harder) as they grow…but I don’t wanna spoil it for ya so I won’t give away the good/bad parts.

Oh and…Please don’t take this the wrong way, but have you been screened for PPD? I’m just saying because I went through that after my first child was born and I was the last one to know. Only a little after baby #2, but I recognized it that time. I also am recognizing some of that in your words, so I just want you to think about that. Could just be the thyroid, but it couldn’t hurt to mention it to the doc.

Just know this: “You are good enough; you are smart enough; and doggonit, people like you!”
